At Barking Wishes, we believe every senior pet deserves comfort, dignity, and love—no matter their past or prognosis. Barking Wishes is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and all donations—both monetary and wishlist items—are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.

We are a volunteer-run, foster-based rescue with a dedicated sanctuary for senior dogs who are not adoptable due to medical or behavioral reasons, or those needing compassionate hospice care.

Medical & Hospice Care – From full vetting, spays / neuters, dentals and chronic conditions to palliative support, many of our seniors arrive with urgent and ongoing medical needs.

Sanctuary & Foster Homes – Whether a pet is adoptable, in hospice, or needs a permanent sanctuary stay, we provide a safe, peaceful, love-filled environment.
Foster & Adoption Support – We fully equip our fosters to give senior dogs the best care possible while they wait for their forever family—or stay with us forever.
